Personality & Traits

General Overview		Dayro is a sweet, sensitive soul. She is the first to listen to your problems, and the last to talk about you behind your back. She is also quietly intelligent, and very funny. Mostly, she keeps to herself, though, as she doesn't like the stereotypes of Orions, and has a lot of trauma from her past.

Personal History		Born on Orion to two Orion parents, her family was a typical Orion family. Her father was a Slaver, and her mother stayed home to raise the children-Daryo has two older brothers. She went to school until 7th grade, when she dropped out to work to help the family. She was taken as a slave/Dabo girl at 15-puberty, and taken to Risa and then to Cerenos to perform. It was at Cerenos that she was "rescued" by a Starfleet officer, Lt.JG Alkokia Dalin, on the planet for R&R. They had an instant connection, though she can't really describe it-it wasn't love, as he is gay, but more of a cerebral thing-soul mates in a non-romantic way. He paid her slavers to let her go, and took her with him to his ship, the USS Arcadia. There, he got her a job in the Starfleet's Diplomatic/Civilian corps, at that ship's Lounge, bartending and generally providing a good time for the sailors and crewmen. From there, she moved on to DS9, and helped out at Quarks, learning more and more as she moved up through the ranks from junior bartender to assistant, and finally, took her own shifts a few days a week. She still keeps in touch with Dalin. Through her time with the Fleet, she has renewed her education, and got a high school-equivalent diploma. Now, she's aiming to join the Academy someday, to be a botanist. She has a thing for plants, and her quarters are very lush with greenery and flora of all types-Sol/Earth, Orion, and other types. She has a green thumb (both literally and figuratively), and loves to share cuttings with people as gifts. She saw the opening at the Drommie, and applied on a whim.
