"My lady," Sugo Torel stated happily. "Your hospitality so far has been exquisite."

He placed down his napkin down happily having had more than his fill. She certainly had rolled out the royal carpet so to speak.

He wondered if perhaps some of the attendants could be released. She was certainly enchanting.

Was it too familiar to request some time to speak freely just them. Was she the sort of leader who would consent to that? He wondered. He needed to get to know how she thought. Evaluate her presence in mind with the League. How would he report her to them?

The dinner was sublime, Uldrag found it amazing. The company was stimulating. She found the man whom had come to see her, fascinating as well. She never had thought she could have this sort of attention from any male. Even if the outer shell was askew and deformed, without any prettiness like their counter parts, her people seemed to be able to find love amongst themselves, finding the inner person attractive. Except for her, she hadn't found anyone who was even remotely interested in her. She tried, but for some reason they just, pushed her aside.

Perhaps it was due to her family, her parents weren't not that great. They were so devious, so, ugly in their thoughts and deeds except where she was concerned. They had taken part in planting the devices on Starbase 308. They had risen to higher status in the Cetea society, but were cast down, for daring to plot against the highest ranking person. They had been careless letting slip what they had planned. For their treason, they were put to death. They could have killed her but they didn't want to kill a child. Instead she was put on clean up duty, the lowest sort of duty given to her in her society. And thus was her lot in life, until the sublime deity, took her, the one who was at the very bottom dregs, and raised her up. And now here was this man, whom she was feeling attraction to, is here in her new home.

Reining in her thoughts she answered Sugo, "I thank you, while the dinner table is being cleared, why don't we go to my most favorite room of my home." rising up from her seat and walking towards Sugo. "It is the sun room, where it looks out towards the gardens. I find it rather relaxing and beautiful. And I would like nothing more than to show this to you."

"And I would like nothing more to see it and to find out more about you," he said standing up and offering her his arm.

Uldrag smiled, accepting the invitation to take his arm. She couldn't help but marvel at the connection she felt. The contact between two beings. It was almost heady in its sensation. She had to keep a cool head though.

"Yes I can see this would be peaceful. It is similar to one of my summer residences back home. So your home world before this. Before you settled here. What was that like?" he asked.

Uldrag thought for a moment, then answered, her voice melodic and tranquil. "It was a wild wilderness, mostly of rock and stone, we sought solace, refuge; a chance to perhaps change our destinies. We thought this was much the same like our planet until we found this hidden gem, concealed away like a veritable paradise. We were guided by the voices of the stars, a prophet. And then the planet bloomed, at least it did for us. " she smiled pleasantly, " As what we had discussed when you first contacted us. Now you see proof before you."

Motioning towards the large bay window which over looked the gardens, where flowering hedges dotted with pale pink flowers, and a fountain surrounded by vibrant red flowers.

"Beyond the hedges are the farmlands." Uldrag remarked, leading him towards a wooden bench, which had a dark green cushions upon it. "Here, you can see the stars when they come out at night." directing his gaze towards the glass roof above. "I like to lie down and gaze at them, here."

"Lets lie down then," Sugo said boldly sitting down then lowering his back to the floor. "Yes very beautiful," he said looking up. "Come on my lady. I do not bite," he joked. "I will not try anything untoward. You have my word as the leader of the Azimea and as a gentleman."

Uldrag slightly raised an eyebrow at him, then she laughed. "You do not bite? That is good to know."lying next to him to gaze upwards. She twirled one of her locks of chestnut brown hair around her finger, then turned on her side to look at Sugo, supporting her head on one hand, her elbow crooked.

"You are very handsome."

"Who was the prophet?" he asked softly. It was curious. There had never been life here before. For this to have occurred he doubted a prophet. Perhaps it was another alien race infiltrating the system. He mentally started to go through the known enemies of "the five." Who would have the technology to make something like this occur. They had tried some unsuccessful terraforming a few century's back.

Either she was lying which at this time he did not wish to believe or someone was likely manipulating her. If that was the case, he had more of a reason to get to know her better so that not to happen to her and her people.

"At the moment the name of the prophet escapes me. It's probably due to your nearness." smiling, her green eyes filled with honesty.

Sugo smiled. There was possibility in this night after all. "Are you attached my lady?"

Uldrag's brow furrowed, for a moment a perplexed look in her eyes, then it cleared.

"No, I am not. I am not betrothed to anyone." she moved slightly closer to Sugo. "Are you betrothed to anyone?" hoping that he wasn't. Tentatively she reached out a finger to trace along his cheek, she felt so daring and bold to be doing so.

"I am not although my father I think wishes it sooner rather than later," he said smiling at her actions. His hand closed over hers. "My lady ... in our positions, marriages are unfortunately designed for alliances rather than a love affairs. Although I guess its what you decide to make of things."

A sharp intake of breath when she felt his warm hand upon hers. It sent tingles up and down her arm then gradually over the rest of her. She looked down, at their hand, then through her thick dark eyelashes she peered into his eyes.

"I have heard of those type of alliances and felt it so confining. When there is love, I have heard it makes things much more enjoyable. What if those who were being used as part of an alliance were actually in love with each other. Would it be so awful?"

"I think it would be ideal yet have not seen much of that in my time in society in honesty. Perhaps though there is the possibility to fall in love with ones spouse in these circumstances," he mused.

"Perhaps though you might consider an alliance with Azimea as we get to know each other better?"

"Tell me more about yourself, and perhaps I shall consider it." Uldrag teased, then she said more seriously, "I would love to get to know you, the you that isn't involved with politics. The person behind the crown. What do you like to do, foods you love to eat, what do you wish you could do, if you were more of a commoner. And do you judge a person by their looks, or by what they seem to be under the surface of their exterior."

It was something she wondered, What if.. what if her deity saw fit to take away her beauty leaving nothing more than her ugly shell? Perhaps Sugo would toss her into the gutter, when he finds out what she truly looked like. She mentally shook her head, how could she think that. He was her deity, he was kind, great, and filled with goodness.

"I like to paint when I get time to myself," he said simply. "And get out in the fresh air. Walking. Exercise without all ones security and surrounding people. There outside there now you know, yours too. Always keeping an eye on you. Its there job but at times its irritating. You wish to just be free.

"In terms of judging people I have learnt the hard way there. Never judge. People are far clever and some kinder than you give them credit for on the outside," he told her. Any true leader needed to recognize that. "And you my lady."

"I am rediscovering who I am. And I would say its due to my surroundings and.." she shyly blushed. " You. "

Oh how her heart was beating so fast. " I do love gardening." she said. "Just watching the greenery come to life out of the dirt, to me is simply miraculous."

"Then if we were to marry into an alliance my wedding gift for you would be to ensure that all of my residences had a garden for you," he stated. "I myself do not have green fingers."

She smiled, "I would love it if you would." Then feeling rather emboldened, enchanted by the man near her, Uldrag moved even closer to him, and kissed him.

It was a light one, almost like that of a butterfly landing upon a flower. She'd never been kissed, and hadn't the desire to be kissed or even be kissed until now. She pulled back, blushing furiously, hoping that she had done the kiss right or did she break a taboo for kissing him?

"My lady you are full of surprises," he replied smiling. "Certainly welcome ones," he added before pulling her back for a deeper more exploratory kiss.

An alliance between both their people would be very beneficial especially seeing the riches emerging from this world again. Getting in quickly before any of the rest of the five made a play to court her, well he would be crazy not too.

They could be quite a force together he decided and she was an exotic rareity... But an alliance with someone he actually could talk too and wanted to be intimate with. His body was very much confirming that right now ....That was a triple win on Sugo's part.

Even if she was just playing the game, a partner willing to engage in a deeper relationship was something. Certainly others, his father included didn't have much of that.

As he reached up and ran his fingers through her hair, decorum be dammed right now he realised yes he had kissed other ladies but none had excited him as his body was telling him now. There was something certainly different about Uldrag. Like he was just at the surface. There was secrets to be undone. And seemingly she had been chosen by some prophet in her eyes. There was mystery there and he found despite the logic of an alliance between there people he actually wanted to unwrap those layers.

Pulling back yet not wanting to at all, he whispered charismatically. "I see I will need to build you lots of gardens. Lots of flowers. I will speak with my father. A wife such as you deserves only the very best in way of dowry. Let me share with you the riches of my world and people.

You will have me?" He asked looking her direct in the eyes one finger tracing her cheek.

She closed her eyes at the touch of his hand, then opened them at his question. "Yes, I will." beaming with joy. She never thought she would achieve something such as this, feeling so blessed!

He wanted to stay there in her arms, suggest moving to her quarters as he had other woman in the past, or had had them throw themselves at him but now with the prospect of a wife he had to do this properly.

He kissed her once more happily, hungrily. How strange fate was that he had decided to patrol this old route in the last few days. If he hadn't they likely would not have met and for how long.

"It is getting late and the servants will start gossiping," he quipped as they broke for air. Standing up, he helped her to her feet and slide an arm around her ready to walk them out and back to their relative bodyguards and inner circles.

"I will attend to things immediately my lady," he said regally. "Wait for me to return."
