The call was pending, the Federation emblem spinning slowly on its axis as the subspace communication was routed through to her cousin back over on Deep Space 21. She was over the moon she had been able to reconnect with him but in the same breath she had no idea how he was going to react to the news she had to give him. It really had been something of a whistle stop in the last week. Having been in the depths of a depression to riding high on the unexpected development.

The emblem finally vanished and the smiling visage of Vincent appeared on screen.
"Vinny... I'm sorry I've been terrible at keeping in contact... How are you?"

"Cassie! Hello beautiful, you look like a beam of sunshine from that radiant smile. I'm going to have to get a pair of sunglasses." Vincent teasing his cousin actually reaching over and putting on a pair for a moment, giving a laugh. he took the sunglasses off though so he could see her clearly, " How are you doing?" leaning his chin in the palm of his hand.

"Well... Funny your should ask!" her smile turning into a positive beam as she put her hand in frame of the camera showing of the diamond engagement ring and the wedding band. She said nothing just allowed the information to register.

Vincent's eyebrows seemed to disappear at the sight of the ring on her finger. "Holy moly Cassandra, you got married?" he let out a whoop which echoed in his quarters. "Who is the lucky guy? You may have told me but i don't remember, its been crazy here." giving a laugh and a hapless shrug of his shoulders.

"Ollie. He was with me the day I bumped into you on Deep Space Twenty One. We went on holiday to Ba'ku and he popped the question and we got married the next day... It was beautiful.".
Still beaming but then she caught the thread of what Vinny had said. "Whats happening on your end. I thought the station was starting to settle down?"

"Oh it is settling down." Vincent giving a bit of a smile. "Now that is right Ollie, a lovely chap. And you are definitely radiant, I am happy for you. I have some big news as well. Are you heading your way to DS21? I can hardly wait to see you."

"I passed through when the Andromeda docked heading on to Ba'ku and the same on the return but I wasn't on board for any length of time. I'm planning the next stop by to maybe drop in and take you and Iy'dan out for dinner... If he's on station. I heard he got a promotion himself... Science Division Chief over on Deep Space twelve if I heard right?"

"Well yes he did and, I am going to be joining him soon. We are in preparation for me to move there. He was worried about being transferred there, and was willing to give up his promotion. He is so considerate." a determined look in his eyes could be seen. "I told him no, he couldn't give that up at all. He needed to take that promotion and I will be there for him. Guess you might say, you coming here is the perfect time for us to get together, have dinner and some hugs and kisses of we shall see each other again." His eyes lit up. " I am very happy for his promotion though. Very happy indeed."

The conversation continued for some time between the pair as they continued to catch up, knowing it could be some time if ever that they again got the chance to talk.
