Holographic Soliodaria Holiday Excursion - In Development

Hello Diary, how is it going today? Well, between the missions and keeping this ship running, I have returned to working on my Holographic program to let those on board, well, those who would want to, if any, but, I digress, returned to working on the Soliodara Holiday Excursion. I have completed the base and pathing for a Six Year Old Soliodaran Youth outing, which I think would be a great place to start. Just, I am having troubles with the scents and predators to get the mood and sense of dread just right. Hmmm..

Oh, silly me. If anyone other than me were to read this, they would be totally lost. So, the first Soliodara excursion for a six year old is to go along a day hike through milder deadly territory so that the kids can be eased into the deadly nature of the wilderness areas away from the protection of the cities. Of course, you don't want to lose the kids on their first excursion, so you go through areas known to not partake of anything larger than the natural herbivores for that area. Still, you also don't want to lessen what the lesson of the trek is for.. the deadly nature of our planet and that they need to be aware to survive.

Well, I figure this would also make a great way to get someone acquainted with my homeworld and thus, my background, if they take an interest in me, like Ensign Hawkins may have an interest. Anyways, I am working on the trek. I chose a nice jungle/stream trek as the dangerous organisms actually tend to advertise themselves versus the forest, mountains, and the like where they hide as life is less plentiful. Sigh, but as I am going through it, it just doesn't seem foreboding enough. It lacks that urgency of needing to be aware, to be on your toes, that a wrong misstep can be your life. And, of course, it doesn't simulate the pathogens and why any visitors need a hyped universal anti viral, anti bacterial hypospray every four hours, along with the antiparasite drink. Hey, then again, I could probably just create placebos of the shot and drink to give out, with the shot having a minor burn as well as the drink that tastes like the real thing.

But, how do I recreate the menace of the vegetation and animal predators and self protective prey? The hologram, while seaming real, can't do actual skin causitive issues or injective issues. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't want to hurt anyone, but a couple of menaces that can actually 'harm' without harming the trekker would help immensely. Hmm, maybe some robotics or actuators to go with the holographic force fields? I mean, you can bring drink and food into the holodeck and the created characters can interact with them due to the nature of the holodeck and its force fields.. and the smells of a place are created with replication misting... hey, that's it, replication misting. I can create some specialty skin causitives for vine and plant touches as well as a mild burn sedative to 'mist' onto thorns, claws, and fangs if a person gets caught unawares by a flora or fauna.

I will get to work on that. And, yes, I will go by Medical and get some advice for how best to do this. I am not a doctor, don't want to be neither. Being a ship 'doctor' is good enough for me. thanks for listening to me and letting me voice my thoughts.
